Our Patron - John Cullum DL

SWALLOW is delighted to have John Cullum as its Patron, he has been supporting the charity since March 2018.
John Cullum has a wealth of experience, both in the commercial and voluntary sectors. John is a Deputy Lieutenant of Somerset and supports a range of local organisations.
About SWALLOW, John says: “I am very inspired by the caring and respectful support provided by dedicated staff and volunteers, enabling greater independent living and quality of life for young people and adults in our area. Hopefully, I can help build both financial and voluntary support for SWALLOW to meet the demand for these growing needs in our community.”

Jill Souter
Chair of Trustees
SWALLOW supports my daughter, she works in one of the cafes and lives in one of the supported living services. I have been really impressed by the level of care and support that she has received.
I wanted that work to be able to continue to grow and develop and to give something back to SWALLOW, so I am delighted to take on the role of Chair of Trustees.

Sue Hawkey
Vice Chair of Trustees
I was volunteering at the Food Bank in Radstock, when I saw that SWALLOW was looking for new Trustees. I was so impressed with the cafe that I wanted to get involved with what seemed such an excellent organisation.

Tony German
Trustee
My brother David loved being part of SWALLOW.
I’ve worked with lots of organisations helping people improve their lives, so I’m especially proud to be a part of SWALLOW’s great work to help people lead the lives they want, right here at home in Somerset.

David Vaughan
Trustee
My Friend Tim Watson told me about SWALLOW and I really liked their aims.
Bev and her terrific team do really make a massive difference to the lives of our members - enabling them, as far as possible, to live an independent life.

John Freeman
Trustee
I've been a Trustee here for six years. I like that SWALLOW is so member driven and friendly. I have always been involved in some way with local communities, I taught for 37 years, many of those in this local area.

Chris Negus
Trustee
I have recently joined this amazing charity as, after fifty years of teaching, training and advising in main and special education I felt the need to be of further use. I have come to realise that this exceptional charity has so much warmth, expertise and energy to give its members, and I’m looking forward to offering support wherever I can.

Mark Roper
Trustee
I am a Bath resident and entrepreneur with a deep interest in the charitable sector. I was delighted to be asked to be a Trustee of SWALLOW as they epitomise the best kind of charity - warm, friendly and firmly rooted in their community, providing a vital service that members and their families otherwise would simply not get.

Phil Edmonds
Trustee
As a member of Somer Valley Rotary Club, I’ve been aware for some time of the good work being done by SWALLOW. I have recently retired from a career in finance and management and I am delighted to have the opportunity to use some of my skills to support this wonderful organisation.

Roger Winsley
Trustee
I have lived and worked in this area all my life, and through my membership of the local Round Table & Rotary Clubs I have been aware of SWALLOW from its beginning and the important supportive work it does within the community.
I was delighted to be invited to become a Trustee and look forward to being involved with this remarkable organisation.

Samantha Baker
Trustee
I've worked in a variety of different HR roles for over 20 years. I love working with people. I enjoy seeing them grow, develop and unlock their potential. It's great to have the opportunity to use my experience to help SWALLOW in continuing to provide valuable support and services to their members.
