The SWALLOW Charity Lottery - Rules
Support teenagers and adults with learning disabilities to live life to the full. By playing the SWALLOW Charity Monthly Lottery, you will enable the charity help even more people.
The Terms and Conditions of this lottery are as follows:
1. The cost will be £5 per month – limited to one number per person.
2. Members of the club must be a minimum of 16 years old.
3. Members of the club will be accepted on the completion of a standing order form/payment to SWALLOW finance office.
4. There will be a cap of no more than 60 players in the lottery club.
5. If the paid-up membership of the club falls below 20, the prizes will be adjusted pro – rata.
6. Application for membership for the SWALLOW Monthly Lottery shall be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
7. Any member of the club whose subscription falls into arrears shall automatically be excluded from subsequent draws.
8. The draws will take place at SWALLOW Charity offices in Westfield on the 2nd Monday of the month and a live video posted on SWALLOW’s Facebook account. If no designated staff member is available to do the draw on this day, the draw shall take place on the next possible day.
9. The draw will be generated using randomised software, using all the entry numbers.
10. SWALLOW Charity will contact the winners using the contact details provided, as soon as possible (usually within 48 hours) following the draw.
11. Prizes will be deposited in the winner’s bank account during the week following the draw.
12. A list of winners will be published on the SWALLOW Charity website.
13. If a winner cannot be paid, the winning sum will be absorbed after six months.
14. The affairs of the club will be managed by the Fundraising and Finance team at SWALLOW Charity.
15. Part of the funds generated by this club will be used to provide prizes as follows:
12 monthly draws of £100
16. After making due provision for the prizes detailed above, the remaining funds will be allocated by SWALLOW Charity to fulfil the objectives of the organisation.
17. A register of the Monthly Lottery’s members’ names and contact details will be kept by SWALLOW Charity’s fundraising and finance team in accordance with the GDPR Act 2018.
18. It is the responsibility of each member of the Monthly Lottery to advise SWALLOW Charity’s Finance and Fundraising team of changes to their banking details and/or contact details.
19. If the paid – up membership falls below an operational level (20 people) SWALLOW Charity will have the power to divide the proceeds between the remaining members.
20. Under no circumstances will any payments be refunded. Numbers are non-transferrable.
21. SWALLOW Charity may amend the rules at any time. Members of the club will be informed of any rule changes.
22. SWALLOW Monthly Lottery members may cancel their membership at any time by notifying SWALLOW Charity’s Finance and Fundraising team and stopping their direct debit.
23. In the event of a dispute between a member of the Monthly Lottery and SWALLOW Charity, members can consult SWALLOW Charity’s Fundraising Complaints Policy.
24. The SWALLOW Charity Monthly Lottery is run as a small social lottery in accordance with the Gambling Act 2005.
